Salernitana are interested in signing Leeds United defender Leo Hjelde.
That is according to Corriere dello Sport, via Tutto Mercato Web, who report the Serie A side are monitoring him as a potential target with a view to making a move this summer.
Hjelde is currently playing for Norway at the U21s European Championships in Georgia but will be looking to stake a claim for a first term place at Leeds in pre-season.
The 19-year-old is one of a host of youngsters who will fancy their chances of playing a role in the senior side after Leeds’ relegation, a group which also includes the likes of Charlie Cresswell, Joe Gelhardt and Cody Drameh.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Rotherham United, where he impressed as the Millers were able to secure Championship survival.

Hjelde is one of Leeds’ most promising talents but has made just five senior appearances so far since moving from Celtic two years ago.
In each of those matches, though, Hjelde never looked out of place and is capable of playing both as a left and centre back.
Leeds have a host of left footed centre back options at their disposal, though the future of both Pascal Struijk and Max Wober remains uncertain, while it is time to start phasing out Liam Cooper as a regular starter.
That said, Leeds are desperately short at left back, with the club’s only recognised option in Junior Firpo expected to move on this summer.
Hjelde’s versatility and quality in possession will be an excellent asset to Leeds next season and letting him go at this stage of his career would be a huge error.
