German newspaper Bild claim Borussia Dortmund are looking to reinvest the money they will receive from Real Madrid for Jude Bellingham – and plan to spend some of it on luring Leeds star Crysencio Summerville to Germany.

Bellingham is expected to join Madrid in the coming days for a fee that could come close to £100million. Dortmund will have to replace the England ace – but will look to do so in a way that leaves them with extra, to spend elsewhere.

They are said to be targeting Summerville. The Dutchman has plenty of interest in him. A recent report from Dutch outlet FC Update said Aston Villa, RB Leipzig and PSV Eindhoven also want him. He has a contract until June 2026.

It will be interesting to see what Summerville’s stance is. Yesterday, we wrote how it is imperative to keep him at Leeds, given the likelihood that Willy Gnonto, Luis Sinisterra and Jack Harrison go. He would be our only wide man.

It is claimed that Dortmund have been watching Summerville all season. A campaign in which Summerville played 31 times in all competitions – scoring four goals, all of which came in four successive league games. He laid on two.

Of all the positions in the squad that requires the most surgery this summer, it is likely to be out wide. It is difficult to see a summer in which Sinisterra, Harrison and Gnonto stay. Now, it looks more and more likely Summerville goes.

The likes of Dortmund, Villa, Leipzig and PSV will certainly attract Summerville. But he does have three years left on his Leeds deal – and that means even after relegation, the ball is in our court. We must rake in as much as possible.
