Leeds United are looking to make an appointment by the time the end of the weekend is through.
That is according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, who report an announcement could be made in the next couple of days with the process wrapping up today at the latest.
The Whites are now the last of the three relegated teams to still be on the hunt for a new boss after Southampton confirmed Russell Martin’s arrival on Wednesday, and Leicester City’s appointment of Enzo Maresca last week.
It has become clear this week is the point Leeds are hopeful of wrapping up the process and with interviews now all but done, fans should know who will be leading their side into the new season in the next 48 hours or so.
Daniel Farke, Scott Parker and Patrick Vieira appear to be the main three leading contenders, though given that they have been speaking to candidates all week, there could well be a surprise or two up their sleeve.

San Francisco 49ers Enterprises are clearly looking to ensure they have covered every avenue possible in this manager search so the right man is appointed.
Paraag Marathe has spoken previously about how, despite criticism, this is the approach he took with the 49ers in the past, which ended up being successful.
That said, Leeds simply cannot afford to wait any longer than beyond this weekend as work on both incomings and outgoings really needs to begin.
The players are set to return for pre-season on July 2 and bringing players in as early as possible so they can work with their new teammates and manager.
It is looking like it will be wrapped up, though, in the next 48 hours and let’s hope that all this work has led to the right man.
