Italian outlet TuttoSport report Torino are desperately trying to get Ola Aina to sign a new contract at the Serie A side with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season – amid interest from Leeds and other Premier League sides.

Aina, 26, has spent the last four years at Torino having joined the club in the summer of 2019 from Chelsea. Costing a fee of £8.7million,, he has gone on to play 103 times in all competitions. He has also won 29 caps for Nigeria.

A loan to Fulham has also come in those four years, playing 33 times in all competitions during the 2020-21 campaign. Now, the London-born star’s time in Serie A looks as though it is coming to an end. He could return to England.

The report states that numerous Premier League clubs want Aina – while Torino want to extend his contract. But it is also claimed that extending Aina’s stay at Torino will ‘not be easy’. Tuttosport recently said Leeds were interested.

Torino trying to get Aina to sign new deal amid Leeds interest

Aina is back to full fitness after suffering an injury this season that has limited the left-back to just 11 appearances in all competitions. When fit, he is likely to be in line for a starting place at Torino. What is his best move with Leeds keen?

Does he stay at Torino where he is largely first choice? Or does he return to the Premier League and probably start for Leeds? Surely, he will feel he has unfinished business in England after leaving Chelsea at such an early age.

During his loan at Fulham he was impressive, having a hand in three goals. If he can recreate that form at Elland Road, you would suggest he would be an excellent addition on the left. An area that has been a problem for years, now.
