Leeds United continue their preparations for the new season with a friendly against AS Monaco on Saturday.
It is the second time in less than a year the two sides will meet in a non-competitive fixture, with Monaco having won 4-2 at Elland Road back in December ahead of the resumption of the 2022/23 campaign after the World Cup.
Daniel Farke will be his side can shown even more signs of adapting to his style following some promising early signs in the first pre-season encounter with Manchester United last week.
The 48-year-old will also be able to call on a number of returning stars that were not available against the Red Devils with the whole squad now back at Thorp Arch.
So, with that in mind, here is a look at how Leeds may line-up.
Goalkeeper
Kristoffer Klaesson and Daniel van Den Heuvel shared a half each in the opening friendly but with Illan Meslier now back, it is likely he will start.
Leeds are currently prioritising the addition of a new goalkeeper with Meslier expected to depart, but until then, he will continue as number one.
Defence
Farke now has considerably more defensive options to choose from at his disposal with Charlie Cresswell and Max Wober in contention, and both could start to get some minutes into the legs.
Cody Drameh played 90 minutes last time out and again could line-up at right back, with Leo Hjelde on the other side as Junior Firpo’s availability still remains uncertain.
Luke Ayling, Pascal Struijk and Liam Cooper are all among those who are likely to play some minutes too.
Midfield
New signing Ethan Ampadu could be handed his first start in midfield having had an intense start to pre-season under Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea.
Darko Gyabi is likely to start alongside him as Tyler Adams continues his recovery from a hamstring injury, while Lewis Bate, Jamie Shackleton, Archie Gray and Sam Greenwood are also available for some minutes.
Attack
Wilfried Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville are now both back in training leaving Farke with a plethora of options in the wide positions.
Having only just returned, they may instead start on the bench with Luis Sinisterra, Joe Gelhardt, Dan James and Georginio Rutter getting the nod in the front four.
Jack Harrison is also still reportedly on the way back from a hip injury, leaving Patrick Bamford, Ian Poveda, Mateo Joseph, as well as the aforementioned Gnonto and Summerville as other options.
