Predicted Leeds XI for Hull City: Daniel Farke makes two changes as 27-year-old handed full debut

Leeds United will be looking for back-to-back wins in the Championship away at Hull City.

The Whites returned from the international break with a comprehensive 3-0 win at Millwall in which they will be hoping is the match that kick starts their season.

Given the short turnaround, Daniel Farke could be tempted to make a couple of changes against the Tigers in order to keep his squad fresh.

However, he will not want to make too many, though, with Hull in good form and currently sat fifth in the table having not lost since the opening day.

Here is our predicted XI for the game.

Goalkeeper

Illan Meslier keeps his place in goal ahead of Karl Darlow.

Defence

Liam Cooper could return from the injury he picked up on the opening day against Cardiff City, but Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk look set to continue their partnership in central defence.

At full-back is where a change could arrive, with Jamie Shackleton pushing for a recall. Leeds will need to manage Sam Byram’s fitness carefully and so he could drop out at left-back, with Luke Ayling continuing on the right.

Midfield

Like Byram, Archie Gray will also need his minutes managed and so with another game on Saturday, Glen Kamara could come in for his full debut.

Farke did not seem too concerned about Ethan Ampadu’s late knock at Millwall, meaning he starts once again.

Attack

Farke said in his press conference he does not want to make too many changes and so with two already been made in this XI, the front four could stay the same.

Jaidon Anthony and Dan James will both be pushing for starts, but Willy Gnonto, Joel Piroe, Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter all keep their place.
