Leeds United have shown Crysencio Summerville back in pre-season training for the first time this summer.

The Whites posted him in action on their official Twitter account after he made his return to Thorp Arch earlier this week after being granted some extra time off.

Summerville, along with Wilfried Gnonto, Illan Meslier and Charlie Cresswell, were the final four players to report back after their involvement at the U21s EUROs with their respective countries.

After missing the 2-0 friendly defeat to Manchester United in Oslo last week, Summerville could feature for the first time under Daniel Farke against Monaco this afternoon.

Farke will have a big squad at his disposal to choose from in York, particularly in Summerville’s position out wide with Gnonto, Luis Sinisterra, Dan James, Ian Poveda and Mateo Joseph all hoping for minutes.

Leeds have carefully selected who they show on social media this summer amid doubts over the future of so many, with Summerville included in that.

Summerville is among those expected to depart before the end of the window but that has not stopped them showing him back in training on Friday.

Given the promise he showed in his breakthrough year last season it would be difficult to see Summerville depart at this stage of his career.

At 21, Summerville has enormous potential and there is no doubt he has the ability to rip up the Championship if he was to stay.

Ultimately, though, Leeds can’t keep all of their wingers and it appears as though they would rather keep Gnonto, Sinisterra and Jack Harrison around than Summerville.
