The Athletic’s Phil Hay has reported on Twitter that there is “radio silence” on a possible move for Luis Sinisterra to join Bournemouth – but there is a confidence that the winger will now leave Leeds United.
Sinisterra, 24, was expected to remain at Elland Road today. Especially, after Daniel Farke said in his press conference that he was confident the Colombian would stay. That is despite Premier League links.
Everton, early on in the day. The Mail said The Toffees had made an approach, but nothing came of it. Then, out of nowhere, Fabrizio Romano reported that Bournemouth were closing in on his signing.
Since then, reports have been up and down regarding a possible move for the Colombian to the side that raided Leeds for Tyler Adams. Now, Hay has delivered an update, with less than three hours left.
Radio silence on Sinisterra move from Leeds to Bournemouth
So, while Hay says it has gone quiet – from a Bournemouth perspective, they will think that no news is good news. There is time for Sinisterra and Bournemouth to get a deal done, with a loan deal expected.
It is a shame, if he does go. Sinisterra in the Championship would have been a cheat code. Anything can happen in the final three hours of the window – but you would expect at this stage, a deal to be done.
It leaves Leeds with little time to bring in a replacement – even a loan. Stranger things have happened on deadline day, but it would be a shock to see Leeds bring in a replacement for the ex-Feyenoord winger.
