Leeds United have received a second offer worth £5 million from Valenciennes for Darko Gyabi.
That is according to Phil Hay of the Athletic, who reports Leeds are now considering whether to accept that bid amid loan interest from elsewhere.
It is said that Gyabi had been on the verge of sealing a loan switch to League One side Fleetwood Town for the season until receiving this improved offer.
A temporary switch to Fleetwood has not yet been ruled out and could still happen if a permanent deal to Valenciennes cannot be done in time.
However, Gyabi’s future at Elland Road is now uncertain with Valenciennes prepared to offer the £5 million Leeds paid Manchester City last summer.

Valenciennes, currently languishing towards the bottom of Ligue 2, are owned by Leeds’ Championship promotion rivals Southampton.
If Gyabi was to make the move to Valenciennes, it would not be a surprise if he was to do well, that he ended up at Southampton in the not so distant future.
Southampton’s director of football Jason Wilcox has a good connection with City’s former academy players and has already signed a number of them in the last 12 months.
It would be a real shame if Leeds were to lose Gyabi permanently so soon after his move from City, as clearly there is potential there.
However, he has been unable to show it thus far and with four players ahead of him in the pecking order, Leeds may consider it a deal worth doing.
