Leeds United are plotting a double midfield swoop for Coventry City’s Gustavo Hamer and Bristol City’s Han-Noah Massengo.

That is according to Phil Hay of the Athletic, who reports both players are on the radar of Leeds this summer as they look to get to work on incomings after Farke’s appointment on Tuesday.

The Whites will not be able to push the button on any signings until San Francisco 49ers Enterprises’ takeover is officially confirmed but can put the building blocks in place in the mean time.

Midfield is an area that could require significant strengthening this summer with Weston McKennie having already departed and Marc Roca expected to follow.

Adam Forshaw’s future also remains uncertain with a new contract yet to be agreed, while Tyler Adams is someone who is attracting significant Premier League interest.

Leeds eyeing moves for Hamer and Noah-Massengo

As per the report, Hamer is a player Leeds have had a long-standing interest in and may make a move this summer following an outstanding campaign for Coventry.

The 26-year-old scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists last season and has just 12 months remaining on his deal, though would require a significant fee, with his manager Mark Robins labelling him as ‘phenomenal’ after the play-off win at Middlesbrough in May.

Noah-Massengo, meanwhile, is now out of contract at Bristol City but given his age, Leeds would have to pay some sort of compensation.

The Robins paid seven figures to sign him from AS Monaco in 2019 and spent last season on loan at Auxerre in Ligue 1.

Both would be excellent additions for the Whites, with Noah-Massengo someone who can dictate a game from deep, and Hamer someone who can do a bit of everything.
