Opta’s latest Premier League supercomputer simulation offers a clear statistical outlook for Leeds United, outlining their projected points total and their probability of relegation.
The updated model also provides a direct comparison with the earlier projection that placed Leeds on 45 points across the season. After defeats to Sunderland and Man City, that prediction has now dropped.
Daniel Farke can remain confident, however, that Leeds are in a good position to survive, largely due to West Ham still adrift. Tottenham and Nottingham Forest are both in Europe; their workload is higher.
It is impossible not to love Daniel Farke 😆
The fire beast with some more magic!
Below, we look at Opta’s latest predictions, which had previously predicted 45 points prior to the games against Sunderland and Man City. Despite the drop in points, Leeds fans will feel a sense of relief.
Opta supercomputer reveals Leeds United survival probability
The latest Opta Premier League supercomputer projections simulate the remainder of the season, taking into account predicted league positions, expected points totals, and survival probabilities for every club.

Leeds are forecast to finish in 15th place with nine Premier League games to play, earning a total of 42 points. Indeed, Leeds have been given only a 7.93% chance of relegation come the end of the season.
Leeds, therefore, sit in a group of teams projected to avoid the drop in most simulated outcomes. Understandably, Opta predict Burnley and Wolves to go down while West Ham sit in 18th, on 37.6 points.
Leeds United’s next fixtures and which games can provide points
The latest projection can be compared with the earlier Opta simulation released two weeks ago. That previous model predicted Leeds to reach 45 points across the full Premier League campaign.
Can Leeds genuinely win the FA Cup?
Leeds are one of six Premier League clubs left in the competition…
Comparing the two predictions highlights the disappointing results against Sunderland and Man City, both of which were at Elland Road. Leeds are next in Premier League action against Crystal Palace.
The Whites then host Brentford, before facing West Ham in the FA Cup after the break. Following that, Leeds go to Man United. Daniel Farke will be eyeing some points before the trip to Old Trafford.
