Three wins in a row have pushed Leeds United onto the verge of securing automatic promotion back to the Premier League at the second time of asking, after a win over Oxford United.
One win in six had seen Leeds drop into third and fans concerned their side had bottled it at the wrong time for a second consecutive season. But the blip has come and gone, winning the last three matches.
Leeds have had to rely on their big players to get them through that sticky period. Dan James has been nominated for the Player of the Season, while Joe Rodon was absolutely sensational against Oxford.
Manor Solomon now has two goals and two assists in the last three games and Jayden Bogle has been one of the club’s best players in the last few weeks. From right-back, he has a goal and an assist.

Following his £5m move from Sheffield United, Bogle made a poor start to life at Leeds but the right-back has always had the faith of Daniel Farke. Indeed, Farke has started Bogle in 41 of Leeds’ 43 league games.
He’s only missed two due to injury or suspension. In recent weeks, Bogle has been one of Leeds’ best in the race for promotion, laying on a gorgeous assist for Manor Solomon’s winner at Oxford United.
Bogle took to Instagram after laying on his ninth goal involvement of the season in the win at The Kassam Stadium on Friday night, captioning the upload: “Big 3 points, onto the next”.
Oli McBurnie praises old Sheff Utd teammate Jayden Bogle
There has always been a soft spot for Leeds United when it comes to Oli McBurnie. The Las Palmas star, who helped his side beat Atletico Madrid on Saturday evening, was in the Leeds academy until he was 14.
Let go in 2010, McBurnie went to Bradford City before spells at Swansea and Sheffield United before a surprise move to Spain. McBurnie played alongside Bogle during his five years with Sheffield United.
Putting aside the rivalry between the two clubs and the promotion race they both find themselves embroiled in, McBurnie praised £5m signing Bogle. Solomon also commented, saying Bogle is “on fire”.
Next up for Bogle and Leeds is a return to Elland Road on Easter Monday when The Whites host Stoke City. If Leeds can better Sheffield United’s result, they will secure promotion back to the Premier League.
