Sky Sports News claim that a number of Premier League clubs are interested in signing Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville on deadline day – after Leeds rejected a £20million offer from Burnley.
Summerville, 21, has endured a tumultuous start to the season. He has only managed two outings in our six matches, missing four through injury. He scored and got an assist in the 2-2 draw against Cardiff.
Then, he returned from injury on Tuesday night – starring in the penalty-shootout loss to Salford City. Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday evening that Burnley have tabled a £20m bid for Summerville.
But it does not sound as if the story ends there, on deadline day. Sky Sports News claim that they have been told that a number of premier League clubs are interested on deadline day – not just Burnley.
“Leeds have rejected a Burnley bid for Summerville. Burnley, we’re told, are only one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in him. He has three years left so in a way, Leeds have the upper hand.”

Summerville has three years remaining on his contract. So, Leeds are under no pressure to sell the Dutch star – but, if he kicks up a fuss and the money is good, then perhaps it could be considered.
Indeed, given Victor Orta signed him at Leeds for a tiny fee – believed to be around £1m – raking in north of £20m would massively aid Financial Fairplay. But, The 49ers are showing ambition, rejecting bids.
It will be interesting to see how the day goes on and if Summerville tries to push for a move if other clubs become interested. But as things stand, Summerville remains a Leeds player and will stay.
