Leeds United are busy preparing to face Brentford on Sunday afternoon and Noah Okafor has been speaking to the media ahead of the club’s 16th Premier League match of the season.
Leeds go to Brentford later today. A game that on paper, seems a formality. Brentford boast the Premier League’s fourth-best home record, clocking up a total of 16 points from a possible 21 after seven games.

Leeds, meanwhile, have lost six of the last seven. So typically, one would expect Brentford to go and win on Sunday with some ease. Especially, with Leeds missing Lukas Nmecha, Sean Longstaff, and Dan James.
Yet, Leeds have some momentum. Graham Smyth has predicted a 1-1 draw, having watched Daniel Farke save his job with a change of formation and orchestrating results against Chelsea and Liverpool last week.

It does feel like a new era under Farke, a different side to the manager and his Leeds side that fans had not noticed before. There is hope going into Brentford and the remaining three league games this year.
As Leeds fans reignite their rivalry with Brentford boss Keith Andrews, Okafor was discussing the club’s away form on Sky Sports. He made it clear that Leeds have got to improve and are striving to do so.
“We can improve in every situation,” Okafor said, ahead of Sunday’s clash against Brentford in which he is expected to start up front, with Nmecha missing. “This is football. When we lose or make things bad.
“We have to learn, we have to be critical, that’s the best way for success. Even if it’s one per cent every day this helps a lot for the future. While you are believing you are not worrying,” Okafor added, to Sky Sports.

Now playing up front instead of his initial left-wing position, Okafor needs to adapt quickly for the sake of Leeds but also, his place in the side. He has an opportunity to stake his claim for a place in the starting XI.
But Okafor has had a tricky start to life in England. Jon Newsome hammered Okafor earlier in the season for losing the ball in his own half, telling supporters that Leeds can’t afford to carry passengers this term.
Farke has since said how he spoke to Okafor at half-time during the win over Wolves, in which Okafor opened his account for Leeds but earned criticism. Up front, Okafor has got to make the ball stick.
Especially, away from home. Territory and keeping Brentford away from the Leeds goal is absolutely key on Sunday and both Okafor, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, will play a massive role in doing that.
