Leigh Bromby has claimed that Leeds United have a player who is simply too good for the Championship in their ranks.
The Whites ran out 1-0 winners over Norwich City on Wednesday night to extend their winning run to four in the Championship, which is the best of the season so far.
It was a far from vintage performance from Leeds but there were certainly some stand-outs, particularly at the back. The entire back four was able to keep Norwich to only one big chance across the 90 minutes.
However, speaking on BBC Radio Leeds post-match, Leigh Bromby has singled out one of Leeds’ attacking players Georginio Rutter for praise, after another solid performance.
Rutter completed six out of his eight attempted dribbles on the night and Bromby believes there are not many defenders in this division who are able to handle him.
Rutter just too good for the Championship
He said: “He is so entertaining to watch and I think he has grown in terms of everybody, all the Leeds fans, he’s grown in stature and become a pivotal player. The fans understand him and that he can make amazing moments.
“But the one big thing for him is his reactions to win the ball back and work rate, that connects with the Leeds fans. They forgive some of the things he might try because he’s working so hard for the team, it’s a fantastic attribute.
“At this level no one can touch him, he’s far beyond the players, he can run past them, do his tricks and work his magic. You can see that.”

Junior Firpo has joked that he is always on at Rutter during matches for losing the ball and it is good to hear him driving standards, but it is just the type of player he is.
Rutter is always looking to create something regardless of where he is on the pitch and at this level, more often than not it comes off, due to his pace, power and trickery.
The assists may have dried up over the last couple of weeks but that has not stopped him from looking like Leeds’ biggest threat in attack, as almost everything goes through him.
