Bristol City manager Nigel Pearson has been quoted by the Bristol Post as saying that Leeds United have changed since the arrival of Daniel Farke – compared to the Leeds promoted under Marcelo Bielsa.
Leeds play host to Bristol City on Saturday as we look to go into the October international break with a win. It comes after securing five clean sheets in our last six games, beating QPR on Wednesday, 1-0.
A solid run of form that has seen Leeds climb into the top six – but are some 11 points off Leicester City who are shining under new manager Enzo Maresca. Bristol City, meanwhile, are also in very solid form.
Three wins in their last six, 10 points from a possible 18. Pearson discussed Leeds ahead of Saturday’s clash at Elland Road – saying Leeds have changed since Bielsa’s reign, and commented on the crowd.
“They got into the Premier League, stayed up and continued to try and be a high-energy side, I’m not quite so sure they’ll be exactly that now with the new manager,” Pearson said, as per the Bristol Post.
“We’ll expect it to be a tough game because the Elland Road crowd are very demanding and will expect their side to do well. So we expect it to be a tough game but we’ve got to be better than Wednesday.”

A tough game this one, certainly a trickier test than the one QPR posed on Wednesday night. The Robins come in to the game with their tails up after a 96th-minute goal to beat Rotherham 2-1.
But Leeds will be favourites and should fancy our chances ahead of the break. A win could see Leeds climb to fourth place, if Sunderland lose by a few goals, and Leeds win by a considerable margin.
A fifth league win of the season after 11 games though, will be the perfect way to go into the break. Farke has made a solid start but this is where momentum is required, in the run up to Christmas.
