Paul Robinson has taken to Twitter to urge his old club to bring in an interim manager until the summer, allowing them to reassess at the end of the season. Leeds have given Michael Skubala the reigns, for the ‘upcoming fixtures’.
It has been almost two weeks since Leeds sacked Jesse Marsch. In his place, the club brought in Under-21 manager Michael Skubala – who took charge for the double-header against Manchester United. A 2-2 draw, to begin with.
Then, a decent showing for 80 minutes before Marcus Rashford gave Manchester United the lead on Sunday. Leeds lost 2-0. A point from two games when we could have had nothing. Patrick Bamford says Leeds could have had four.
Of course, Skubala was only supposed to be very temporary. Leeds had hoped to bring in a new boss before the second match against our bitter rivals. But, our search for a new boss has not gone to plan. Skubala is still in place.
Leeds have tried to bring in managers in work. But with Leeds in 17th, it has been rejection, after rejection. Leeds have given Skubala temporary charge for the time being. Robinson has urged Leeds to bring in an interim boss.

So, who could Leeds go after? Well, Nuno Espirito Santo, Steven Gerrard and Harry Redknapp have been linked. The latter says he has no idea where reports came from saying he had told Leeds he is keen – but said he would do it.
Who else? Tata Martino has been linked but the chances of enticing a former Barcelona and Argentina manager to join Leeds, on an interim basis, is very unlikely. As things stand, it looks as if Leeds may be with Skubala for a while.
