The Leeds United squad took part in their first season on Monday morning as Daniel Farke puts his side through their paces ahead of the 2025-26 Premier League campaign.
Not long after Leeds drew with Man United on Saturday, Farke and the Leeds squad flew to Germany ahead of an intense couple of weeks where they will also face two German teams behind closed doors.
Sam Byram made it clear after the draw against Man United that Leeds want to be the fittest team in the Premier League to stay up. The training sessions have been gruelling, in order to make that possible.
Sebastiaan Bornauw admitted on Saturday that his legs were hurting, but that it was required ahead of a tough campaign. He is set to be joined by another new signing from the Bundesliga in due course.

New signing leaves first Leeds session early on Monday
There will be six signings when Anton Stach’s move is announced and the midfielder can join his new teammates. He will join Jaka Bijol, Lukas Nmecha, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Bornauw and Sean Longstaff.
All five got 45 minutes on Saturday, but close attention will need to be paid to former Wolfsburg duo Nmecha and Bornauw who are no strangers to injury. The YEP report a slightly concerning update.
Graham Smyth, out with the Leeds squad in Germany, reports that Bornauw left Leeds’ session early on Monday before some small-sided games. As he left, he was discussing his issue with the medical staff.

Sebastiaan Bornauw is no stranger to injury in recent seasons
Bornauw has come in for Max Wober, after the Austria international managed just nine appearances last season having undergone two knee operations. Bornauw will certainly be hoping to be more available.
Just last season, Belgium international Bornauw suffered three separate injuries which limited the big defender to just 16 appearances. A muscle injury, a problem with his foot and even a bone edema.
Nmecha is no different, only managing 80 appearances for Wolfsburg over four seasons. The duo need looking after if they are going to be fit come the start of the season, and if they are to remain available.
