Neil Redfearn has commented on the performance of Daniel James as Leeds United beat Preston North End at Elland Road on Sunday.
It was Daniel James who got Leeds back on level terms in the sixth minute after the visitors had scored right at the start of the game. James headed home a brilliant Junior Firpo cross.
It has been an outstanding season for James. In fact, his header against Ryan Lowe’s men was his tenth league goal of the campaign. Meanwhile, he has also provided five assists.
Neil Redfearn says Daniel James is back to his best after Leeds win
James may feel that he should probably have added to his tally. He was involved in a couple of openings in the second-half, almost scoring with an audacious lob at one stage.

The 26-year-old has perhaps not proved himself in the Premier League just yet. But there is no question that he has stepped up massively since returning from his loan spell at Fulham.
And speaking on BBC Radio Leeds, Neil Redfearn suggested that he was really impressed by the winger’s display in the 2-1 victory, as well as his recent form.
“I thought Dan James was outstanding today. He’s back to his best now. He’s back to the player that we know he is,” he said.
Winger deserves enormous credit for proving point
While we have had criticisms of Leeds spending £25 million on James, there were many of us who were not at all happy with how he was treated at the end of the 2022 summer transfer window.
Despite helping Leeds start the campaign brilliantly, James was loaned out on deadline day as the club desperately tried to sign another attacker.
Thankfully, the club did not completely mess him around once he was sent to Fulham.
James has come back into the fold this season and got on with his business in incredible fashion. A lot of us have to hold our hands up and say that he has completely proved us wrong this term.
And we could not be happier about it.
