Jermaine Beckford says Jaidon Anthony will be ‘frustrated’ with his current situation at Leeds United.
Anthony made the move to Elland Road on a season-long-loan from Bournemouth but has been restricted to just two starts so far.
The 23-year-old was again a late substitute in last night’s frustrating 1-1 draw at Rotherham United and speaking on Sky Sports before the game, Beckford says he will not be happy with his lack of minutes.
Since his last start at Stoke City, Anthony has played just 29 minutes across the last four matches with Daniel Farke having opted to use him sporadically.
The form of Crysencio Summerville has prevented him from getting many opportunities from the bench, while Dan James and Willy Gnonto are also competing for places out wide.
Competition making it tough for Anthony
Beckford believes that while this sort of strength in depth is something Leeds have not had for a while, Anthony will be very ‘frustrated’ with his lack of minutes.
“This is something Leeds haven’t had in a while. The strength in depth off the bench – Patrick Bamford, Jaidon Anthony, who must be frustrated because he’s been fantastic every time he has come on.
“Coming from Bournemouth in the Premier League, not getting the opportunity to play week in, week out. That’s what we have missed from Leeds United.”

Anthony was again only used for the last five minutes at Rotherham which does feel like a waste for someone of his ability.
He had though he netted a stoppage time winner until the linesman’s flag prevented it, but it is clear in all of his performances that he can offer something.
Perhaps Farke needs to try and keep it freshening those wide areas up quicker at times, with James – for example – hugely ineffective last night.
