Junior Firpo and Pascal Struijk were left wowed by the performance of Joel Piroe for Leeds United on Sunday.
Leeds brought an end their near 11-year wait for a win at the Den at the weekend, producing arguably their most accomplished display of the season at both ends of the field.
Piroe was a key part of that in the final third, clinically finishing off a sweeping first half move to open the scoring before doubling Leeds’ lead in the second 45 minutes with a real poachers’ goal.
Since arriving from Swansea last month, Piroe has now scored three goals in as many matches for his new club, showing exactly why Leeds splashed out £10.5 million + add-ons to sign him.

Firpo and Struijk send Piroe message
Piroe’s first goal in particular is exactly what Leeds have been craving for several seasons now; a striker who will more often than not, finish off the chances that are created.
Leeds fans will be hoping for more of the same from Piroe as Daniel Farke’s side face a quick turnaround with a trip to Hull City on Wednesday.
If Piroe can keep up this rate of scoring, he will be well on course to smash the 20-goal mark, which is, of course, what Leeds bought him for back in August.
The 24-year-old is clearly already developing a really nice understanding with Rutter and the more that partnership develops, the more worrying it is for the rest of the division.
