It is all shaping up to be a historical day for Leeds United on Easter Monday when The Whites host Stoke City at Elland Road, with Leeds boasting the chance to confirm promotion.
If Leeds can better Sheffield United’s result on Monday, it is a top-two position for Leeds and a place in next season’s Premier League. Leeds host 15th-placed Stoke, while Sheffield United go to rivals Burnley.
Scott Parker’s side are unbeaten in 30 and actually beat Sheffield United at Bramall Lane earlier in the season. A win for Burnley will also see The Clarets confirm promotion to the Premier League on Monday.
It will succumb Sheffield United to the play-offs. Sam Parkin has predicted a Leeds win, and then a 0-0 draw between The Blades and Burnley in the evening 5.30pm kick-off – and there is more good news.

Stoke City could be without as many as six players for Leeds clash
They look almost certain to be without three. Youngster Sol Sidibe has been missing since the reverse fixture at The Bet365 Stadium, while Enda Stevens has missed the last six and Michael Rose, the last four.
Mark Robins has guided Stoke towards Championship safety in recent weeks, going unbeaten in five and winning three of those games against QPR, Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday. They have two wins in two.
But Stoke could also be without three key players in Ben Gibson, Jordan Thompson and Eric Bocat. Gibson was missing against Wednesday with illness, while Thompson was stretchered off during Friday’s win.
Left-back Bocat, meanwhile, picked up a knock and like Thompson, was substituted during Stoke’s 2-0 win. It leaves the trio as doubts going into Monday afternoon’s clash against Leeds away in Yorkshire.
Stoke City injury list:
- Ben Gibson – illness (doubt)
- Jordan Thompson – ankle (doubt)
- Eric Bocat – knock (doubt)
- Enda Stevens – calf (out)
- Sol Sidibe – back (out)
- Michael Rose – injury (out)
Leeds United injury news ahead of Stoke clash at Elland Road
Leeds will definitely be without Pascal Struijk who suffered a foot injury in the draw against Luton Town, while Joe Rothwell has a calf problem. Farke hopes Rothwell will be fit for the last two games of 24-25.

However, two bits of good news for Leeds. Dan James came on as a substitute in the win over Oxford United after a hamstring injury at Middlesbrough while Manor Solomon says he will be ready to go.
Solomon came off early in the win over Oxford United but told Tony Dorigo after the game that it was just cramp. Good for Leeds, given Solomon has had a hand in four goals in his last three league games.
