Michael Beale has delivered another update on potential outgoing players from Rangers this summer following a 3-1 loss to Olympiakos at Ibrox – with Leeds United battling to sign Finnish midfielder Glen Kamara in the coming weeks.

Rangers have been very active in the market. Already, they have made seven signings including the likes of Jack Butland, Sam Lammers and Cyril Dessers. They are closing in on deals for Feyenoord’s Danilo and Jose Cifuentes.

It means Beale will have to sell a few players. Scott Wright has been linked with a move to Turkey while Leeds are in pursuit of Kamara. Graham Smyth says there is an interest in the midfielder, who has a £5m release clause at Ibrox.

Beale was asked about players potentially leaving the club and admitted that his side have received enquiries for three or four players, and sales are likely. He says some players will not make next week’s Champions League squad.

“There’s been enquiries about three or four players. Next week we have to name a European squad for the first two games and some players won’t make that. It’s been like that every season here,” Beale said, as per Glasgow World.

Beale update as Leeds battle to sign Rangers midfielder Kamara

Leeds have brought in a midfielder in the form of Ethan Ampadu, but after losing Weston McKennie, Adam Forshaw and Marc Roca – and Tyler Adams remains sidelined with an injury – Leeds really need another body in the middle.

Jamie Shackleton and Lew Bate have returned from loans, while Archie Gray and Darko Gyabi could be promoted to the senior side this summer. They have featured in pre-season. Kamara would be a good signing, especially at £5m.
