Mateusz Klich has sent a hilarious dig at Patrick Bamford after his involvement in the red card during Leeds United’s win over QPR.
Klich sent the message on his personal Twitter account in response to a video showing the incident where Bamford was adjudged to have been fouled by Asmir Begovic.
Bamford had latched onto a long ball in behind by Pascal Struijk, before getting to the ball ahead of Begovic and going down underneath the challenge.
Replays have since shown there was no contact between the two players, with Bamford also admitting to QPR boss Gareth Ainsworth after the game as much.
Ainsworth said to the press after the game Bamford told him he was looking to jump out of the way, which is fair enough given how high Begovic’s boot was.

That has not stopped Klich from sending a little dig towards his former teammate in typical fashion, writing: “Terrible tackle, hopefully Pat is ok,” followed by a smiley face emoji.
Given Bamford’s honesty towards Ainsworth after the match, hopefully he does not receive retrospective action for simulation.
It is clear there is no contact between the players but had Bamford not dived out of the way, Begovic could have seriously hurt him with the way he was flying out.
The fairest thing to do would be to rescind Begovic’s red card, and not go any further with it, but given Bamford’s history, a suspension would perhaps be unsurprising.
Bamford has only just returned from a long lay-off after picking up a hamstring injury in pre-season, and the last thing he needs is another two matches on the sidelines to disrupt his momentum.
