Luton Town may have been Premier League opposition a matter of months ago, but Leeds United swatted them aside at Elland Road.
The Whites ran out comfortable 3-0 winners over Luton to return to the top of the Championship and make it three wins in a row.
Leeds bossed just shy of 80 per cent of possession throughout and were rewarded for their domination at half-time thanks to a brilliant goal from Sam Byram, and Joel Piroe’s seventh of the season.
The first half-an-hour of the second half saw Leeds take their foot off the gas slightly but the game was eventually put to bed when Dan James beautifully chipped in from Jayden Bogle’s ball in behind.
Ao Tanaka, Joe Rothwell and Piroe were arguably Leeds‘ stand-out performers on the night, but it is difficult to single out any poor displays in a white shirt.

Wilfried Gnonto, Dan James, Largie Ramazani and Manor Solomon hailed as Premier League quality
The one position Farke may struggle to keep everyone happy when fit is out wide, with Wilfried Gnonto, Manor Solomon, Largie Ramazani and James all keen to play every week.
Solomon and James were handed starts in Sunday’s win at Swansea City but despite his hattrick of assists, the latter was dropped for Gnonto against Luton.
He showed no signs of being disappointed at being replaced in the starting XI, though, making a quick impact with his goal.
And although Ramazani played only a handful of minutes on his return from injury, it has to be said he looked extremely sharp after coming on.
Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds post-match, former Whites boss Neil Redfearn hailed all four of Farke’s wingers as Premier League quality.
He said: “Listen, I think Leeds have got the best four wingers in the Championship. These lads wouldn’t look out of place in the Premier League, there’s no two ways about it. Gnonto, James, Solomon and Ramazani, they’re all capable of playing at a lot higher level for me.”
Who starts for Leeds out wide vs Blackburn?
After two consecutive impressive performances from all of Leeds’ wide men, Farke faces a really difficult team selection at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
Solomon was hugely impressive against Luton but after back-to-back starts, may return to the bench, a bit like James did this evening.
Ramazani is unlikely to be thrown straight into the XI after just a few minutes off the bench, but he will be hoping for even more game time at Ewood Park.
That means Gnonto and James feels like the most likely partnership, but at the same time, perhaps Brenden Aaronson could makeway to keep three of them in the side.
