Leeds United have been told that they could present a more attractive option than Premier League rivals Tottenham as their hunt for attacking reinforcements continues.
Having sealed the signing of talented winger Noah Okafor from AC Milan, Leeds can now turn their attention to signing a number 10, as they look to give Daniel Farke a squad capable of competing in the Premier League.
Leeds have been linked with several targets in recent days. The Whites are reported to be one of several clubs who hold an interest in Getafe forward Christantus Uche, and they are also believed to be interested in a deal for Nantes forward Matthis Abline.
The Whites also hold a long-standing interest in Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Khannouss, who has been linked with a transfer this summer. Although Crystal Palace have stolen the march on a deal to sign the Moroccan, Leeds could still be an attractive option.

Leeds United are still an ‘attractive option’ for Bilal El Khannouss
Tottenham have suffered more transfer frustration in recent days as former Leeds target Eberechi Eze looks set to reject them to join their North London rivals, Arsenal.
The collapse of Eze’s move to Spurs could see them re-enter the race to sign El Khannouss, as Thomas Frank looks to bolster his options in attack.
However, speaking on Matterface & Crook at around 10:25 on the morning of the 22nd August, presenter Alex Crook speculated that Leeds could be a more attractive option for the Leicester star.
Crook said: “There’s also a lot of competition for El Khannouss, for example. We know that Leeds are at the table.
“Who knows, he might see that as a more attractive option at this moment in time to Tottenham. They may be looking at El Khannouss, having missed out on Eze and Morgan Gibbs-White.”
Crystal Palace making slow progress in bid to sign El Khannouss
Whilst Leeds previously appeared to be falling behind Palace in their bid to sign El Khannouss, the almost glacial pace of negotiations between the South Londoners and Leicester could see the door open for the Whites.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, although talks between Palace and Leicester remain active, the two parties have found negotiations hard going in recent days.
Tavolieri reported that Palace had considered alternative options, including Yeremy Pino of Villarreal, in recent days, but they have not given up hope of landing El Khannouss.
With Eze now seemingly destined to join Arsenal, Spurs could still throw a spanner into the works for that deal.
Having already signed Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Leeds will then have to decide whether they want to become involved in a three-way tug of war or turn their attentions elsewhere.
