Leeds United cruised to a 3-0 win over Coventry City on Saturday but it is a quick turnaround ahead of Tuesday night when Leeds travel south to take on Norwich City.
Goals from Wilfried Gnonto, Jayden Bogle and Joel Piroe saw Leeds secure a fourth Championship win of the season. A fifth clean sheet in six games but there is little time to relax with Norwich next on Tuesday.
Then, Sunderland away on Friday. Daniel Farke could name as many as four summer signings in his side on Tuesday with Largie Ramazani, Joe Rodon and Bogle set to start again having starred on Saturday.
But Ao Tanaka could be included in the side too, after an injury to Ethan Ampadu. Ampadu told Farke that his knee isn’t that bad, but Graham Smyth says he would be surprised if Ampadu is fit to face Norwich.
For one player however, Tuesday night cannot come quick enough as he continues to grow in confidence and shine. That player is new signing Bogle and Neil Redfearn has heaped praise on the summer addition.
Neil Redfearn says Jayden Bogle is improving in a Leeds shirt
Bogle made a difficult start at Leeds. Conceding a penalty at Portsmouth, a rash yellow against West Brom and at fault for Burnley’s winner. Tony Dorigo says Bogle should have closed Luca Koleosho down earlier.
But against Cardiff, Farke was proven right in Bogle’s signing and on Saturday, Bogle got his first goal for Leeds. Redfearn had previously said Bogle had been hit and miss, but praised the right-back on Saturday.
“He’s got better as the season has gone on. We’ve got to remember, he’s a new signing. He’s come from a side where he’s predominantly played wing-back, a completely different position from full-back.
“You’re expected to balance and cover more, to be a bit more pragmatic with how you come forward. But I think he’s coped with it well, his one v one stuff was good today,” Redfearn told BBC Radio Leeds.

WhoScored handed him a rating of 8.27 for his efforts on Saturday, a remarkable improvement and by far his best rating of the season. Not just that, but Bogle was effective both going forward and defensively.

That growth in form and confidence has got to continue as Bogle looks to shake off the shackles of a poor start in a Leeds shirt and continue to prove to fans that can be Luke Ayling’s long-term successor.
Bogle shown at this level that he is more than adept and while it might have taken him a few weeks to re-learn playing as a right-back instead of a wing-back, he certainly showed against Coventry he can do it.
