Leeds United completed eight summer signings in the summer and three of them started on Saturday in the 2-0 win over Hull City, with two in defence in the form of Joe Rodon and Jayden Bogle.
Goals from Mateo Joseph and substitute Joel Piroe were enough to secure a 2-0 win over Hull City on Saturday at Elland Road. A result that saw Leeds claim a third consecutive clean sheet after a poor start.
Leeds go into the September international break with eight points from four games and are unbeaten in the Championship. That does not tell the whole story, but Leeds are on a high after two wins in a row.
Leeds were dominant on Saturday and looked solid in defence and clinical in attack with the other of the three new signings starting providing the difference for the opening goal, in the form of Manor Solomon.

Manor Solomon admits he needs time to return to his best
The 25-year-old managed just six appearances for Tottenham last season before tearing his meniscus and Saturday was not only his debut, but his first professional match since September 2023, almost a year.
The Israel international told LUTV it is going to take him some time to get back to his best form, despite his excellent assist that broke the deadlock as he went past two players before crossing for Mateo Joseph.
“Quite a lot to take on, it’s been an intense week. I’m happy to be finally here and happy to be back playing. It’s been a long time since I had an official game, it will take me some time to get to my best.
“Because, everyone knows, I had a tough season with my injury. Now we go into the break, I am looking forward to playing with the national team, and then to come back and continue from where we started.”

Two massive games await Solomon and Israel during break
Israel find themselves in the top tier of the UEFA Nations League and during the September break, they face tough games against Belgium on Friday night before then going up against Italy on September 9.
Leeds fans will be watching on not only to see their new star in action, but also to make sure Solomon stays fit. Especially after watching him shine on Saturday and already producing his first involvement.
Having only played one game in the space of almost 12 months, Leeds will be keen to see Solomon only play a handful of minutes to get match fitness back but also to stay injury free ahead of Burnley.
