Leeds United will have to pay £1.7 million to sign Mjallby AIF goalkeeper Noel Tornqvist.
The Whites sent scouts to watch Tornqvist in action last month with Fotbollskanalen reporting they are among a number of clubs currently keeping a close eye on his situation.
And now according to Tipsbladet, Mjallby AIF have set an asking price of just £1.7 million for the Swedish U21 international shot-stopper, whose contract runs out in the summer of 2026.
Two Dutch clubs and Copenhagen are also said to be hot on the trail of Tornqvist, with his performances having caught the attention of several sides with the January window fast approaching.
Mjällby AIF’s director Hasse Larsson even went as far as confirming the interest of all the aforementioned clubs, though he did also say they had to yet to receive any offers.
Leeds could secure bargain Tornqvist deal
It is clear that Tornqvist is a highly rated goalkeeper with several clubs already beginning to take admiring glances at him, despite being just 21-years-old.
Tornqvist already has almost 50 senior appearances to his name having previously rejected Leeds all the way back in 2018 when an offer was made for him to come on trial.

Leeds’ current goalkeeping situation is certainly an interesting one with two young goalkeepers Kristoffer Klaesson and Dani van den Heuvel seemingly no where near the first team.
With that in mind, both could do with going out on loan and gaining some experience, something which Tornqvist already has himself.
Despite intense summer speculation, Illan Meslier is still very much Leeds’ first choice goalkeeper but you never know how that could change, particularly after the most recent transfer window.
