Reports over a potential January exit from Leeds United for Wilfried Gnonto have already started to circulate this week.
According to TeamTalk, those close to the 19-year-old believe an Elland Road exit is possible when the window reopens, with Everton, Roma and Lazio all said to be keen.
Leeds endured almost a full summer of speculation surrounding Gnonto, who both handed in a transfer request and refused to play in order to force through a move.
However, Gnonto then ended up apologising to Daniel Farke, Angus Kinnear and co, before then being reintegrated back into the side towards the back end of August, as Leeds maintained their not for sale stance.
But these new reports this week will give Leeds reason to be concerned given how long the January window is away. Transfer speculation during the midway point of a promotion push is the last thing they will be wanting.
Gnonto speculation cause for Leeds concern
January is a notoriously difficult month to get business done and at this level, it will be almost impossible to find a player as good as Gnonto clubs are willing to sell, if he does depart.
For that reason, Leeds would be foolish to let him leave in January unless a monstrous offer that is too good to turn down arrives. £25 million has to be the starting figure to even get the Whites talking.

Gnonto is yet to really rediscover that form he showed during the early months of his career at Leeds, though injury has prevented him from gathering any momentum.
Crysencio Summerville and Dan James are undoubtedly Farke’s first choice winger pairing at the moment, as Leeds know all too well, injuries can hit at any moment.
With that in mind, Leeds should do everything they can to keep Gnonto around beyond January. Everyone knows he has the potential to rip this league apart.
