Leeds United have made a late move to sign Leicester City defender Harry Souttar on loan until the end of the season – but, the Australian player can only go if an obligation is included in the loan.
Souttar, 25, has struggled for game time all season at Leicester under Enzo Maresca. Just four games has come his way so far, and actually, Souttar has played more for Australia than he has at Leicester.
The 26-time Australia star has impressed with the Socceroos has played 10 times for his country – even netting five times this term. He is currently at the Asian Cup, where Australia play South Korea tomorrow.
Sheffield United were in talks for Souttar, but the Aussie ace has told his agents to stall a move after learning of our interest. Now, Sky Sports gave an update on the Transfer Centre (February 1, 11.50AM).
They say that Leeds have made an enquiry to land the £15m Leicester signing. Leeds want to land him on loan, but it is claimed that Leicester may only green light a move if an obligation is then included.

Leeds could do with a centre-back and clearly, Daniel Farke wants a central defender before the 11pm deadline. That is despite Charlie Cresswell looking as though he will remain at Elland Road this month.
Pascal Struijk is injured, but Leeds still boast both Liam Cooper and Joe Rodon as options in the middle of the defence. Rodon is only on loan and Cooper is set to go in the summer. Souttar could be needed.
