The 49ers will be setting up candidates to replace the outgoing CEO Angus Kinnear as an interesting candidate has emerged.

Leeds will be hoping they resolve Kinnear’s exit quicker than expected, with interviews seemingly being lined up for his successor.

The CEO has had an eight-year tenure at Elland Road, but it will be coming to an end as Kinnear is leaving Leeds for Everton.

Daniel Farke will need a solid option to work with in the summer, especially if the Whites achieve promotion back to the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp could be involved in choosing Kinnear’s successor, and a new candidate might be the perfect fit for what Farke and the 49ers are trying to do.

Samir Arabi emerges as Angus Kinnear successor at Leeds United

Farke called Kinnear’s Leeds exit ‘a good sign’ as the Whites boss believes the 49ers are ticking all the right boxes

Now a new option has come to the surface of who could take on Kinnear’s long-standing role and it may be one Farke is familiar with.

According to Sky Germany, free agent Samir Arabi could be set to move to Leeds in Kinnear’s absence to work alongside Farke.

Arabi is certainly an unknown name in English football, but Farke should know of his expertise.

The 46-year-old chief is an expert in German football, having had a five-year tenure as Arminia Bielefeld Director of Football and a seven-year reign as Bielefeld’s Managing Director of Sport.

Although he hasn’t had the experience of a CEO, Arabi’s arrival is set to be a part of a complete management restructuring at Elland Road, and his knowledge could be pivotal for the project Farke and the 49ers are trying to achieve.

Arabi can use knowledge to replicate Ao Tanaka transfer at Leeds

Farke has clearly had an impact on Leeds’ signings from the Bundesliga, as the Whites manager knows the league well.

This has proven to be a success after the signings of Ilia Gruev and Josuha Guilavogui, but more importantly, Ao Tanaka, who joined from German side Fortuna Dusseldorf for just £2.9 million in the summer.

The midfielder’s arrival has been nothing but a revelation, as Aidy White labelled Tanaka’s transfer as ‘amazing’

Now, with Arabi’s arrival, this can be replicated, as the German chief has extensive knowledge in football around Germany.

Leeds can use his experience to their advantage, and combining it with what Farke already knows, the Whites appointing Arabi could turn out to be a masterstroke from the 49ers.
