The Opta Supercomputer has delivered a mixed forecast for Leeds United, as it predicted the outcome of the upcoming fixture with Wolves and their Premier League survival hopes.
Leeds face Wolves in their next Premier League fixture, as Daniel Farke continues the hunt for a second win of the season.
Having won three of their previous four fixtures against Wolves, Leeds have an opportunity to open up an early seven-point gap on one of their rivals in the race for Premier League safety.
Ally McCoist criticised Dominic Calvert-Lewin for his failure to find the net against Fulham, and Leeds will need to find their shooting boots to pull off a win at Molineux, after creating a piece of unwanted Premier League history this season by failing to score from open play in four games.
Now, as Leeds search for the winning formula in attack, the Opta Supercomputer has provided its verdict on their chances of beating Wolves and staying in the top flight.

Opta Supercomputer delivers Leeds United vs Wolves prediction
Leeds go into the game against Wolves in need of a win to lift the mood around Elland Road, as much as anything, after a disastrous deadline day which saw them miss out on Harry Wilson and the demoralising defeat against Fulham.
Wolves are yet to gain a point this season, having lost all four of their games to date, and look destined to spend the season mired in a relegation battle.
However, according to Opta, they are the favourites to claim a victory when the two sides meet this weekend.
The Opta Supercomputer gives Wolves a 48.7% chance of winning the game. By contrast, it believes Leeds have just a 25.6% chance of claiming their first away win of the season. The draw is marginally the second-most probable result, rated at a 25.7% chance.

Leeds backed to secure Premier League survival
However, having predicted that Leeds would be relegated at the start of the season, Opta have delivered better news on the Whites’ survival hopes.
As things stand, Leeds are underperforming their expected points total, with four points won against Opta’s expected total of 5.1.
However, the Supercomputer is now backing Leeds to stay in the top flight at the end of the season in 17th place.
| Position | Team | Expexted Points | % Chance of relegation |
| 16th | West Ham | 39.97 | 36.47 |
| 17th | Leeds United | 37.59 | 44.22 |
| 18th | Sunderland | 37.01 | 46.38 |
| 19th | Wolves | 35.93 | 50.34 |
| 20th | Burnley | 35.20 | 53.66 |
It forecasts that Farke’s side will accumulate a total of 37.59 points, and gives Leeds a 44.22% chance of being relegated, down from 48.1% at the start of the Premier League season.
Under the latest update, Sunderland, Wolves and Burnley are the three unlucky teams who will drop into the Championship next season.
