It seems Leeds United fans are already anticipating a frustrating start to the season, as a ticketing dilemma looms for their opening match against Everton.
The Leeds United faithful are never shy when it comes to voicing their opinions and thoughts on what is going on at the club.
They recently weighed in on what should happen with Illan Meslier, shared their excitement at Jonny Howson being back at Elland Road and have even got new summer signing, Lukas Nmecha, promising he will prove his worth after a recent preseason fixture.
They’re a passionate bunch, and securing tickets for the Premier League opener is almost a rite of passage. But this year, a significant issue has come to light.

Leeds United fans fuming over ticket queue for Everton game
Leeds United fans were left disappointed as they tried to secure tickets for the opening day of the season.
The Whites host Everton at home on the 19th of August, their first Premier League game in 2 years.
Fans will have been determined to secure tickets, but the sheer amount of hopefuls trying to secure tickets has left numerous fans to take to X to share their anger.
One fan posted: “9 different browsers open and not one in a queue lower than 5.5k, welcome back to the premier league.”
Another stated: That was worth 15 years of membership with 1 year gap so only 9 years….. 21911 in the queue for Everton tickets.”
Another warned fellow fans: “Don’t bother trying to get tickets for the Everton game.”
Another, quite sombrely, said: “14,000th, 16,000th, 18,000th. After going to 40 home games in the last 2 seasons I will be lucky to attend once this year. Farewell my love.”
The last meeting between Leeds and Everton
The last time Leeds United faced Everton was on February 18, 2023, in a crucial Premier League match at Goodison Park. Everton, managed by Sean Dyche, secured a 1-0 victory.
Leeds, then under interim manager Michael Skubala, fell to a spectacular goal from Everton captain Seamus Coleman in the 64th minute.

Coleman’s winning strike wasn’t a blunder, but a moment of brilliance. He surprised Illan Meslier with a powerful shot, an intentional effort that found the back of the net. Key players for Everton included Jordan Pickford and James Tarkowski, while Leeds featured Weston McKennie and Wilfried Gnonto.
Looking ahead to their Premier League opener on August 19th, both clubs are vastly different. Leeds, now promoted back to the Premier League, have undergone significant squad changes, with new additions like Anton Stach and Lucas Perri.
