Leeds United have asked for fans to be in their Elland Road seats by 2.45pm today before the Premier League clash with Bournemouth.
It’s another huge game for Leeds United to be eyeing points from, but there are no guarantees against a strong Bournemouth side who are coached by Andoni Iraola.
No matter the outcome, it could be a significant day. That’s because, 15 minutes prior to the game, Leeds will be making the first of two ‘special’ announcements.
In an official statement, the club have requested that fans take their seats in time to hear the first. However, the second will follow at half-time.

Leeds reveal ‘special announcement’ at Bournemouth fixture
The statement read: “Leeds United will be making two special announcements during Saturday’s Premier League fixture with AFC Bournemouth at Elland Road.
“Supporters are advised to be seated by 2:45pm for the first announcement, with a second announcement to follow at half-time.
“Both announcements will not want to be missed by loyal supporters who have followed the club throughout the years. Marching on Together.”
Fans have taken to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to guess with some hilarious responses. One said: “If this isn’t the return of Ellie the Elephant and Dizzy Penalties then I’m rioting.”
Another said: “Hearing rumours this is to announce the Federico Viviani deal is finally going through and he’ll be in the squad for the game. Ryan Kent announced at half-time too.”
A further comment read: “Imagine all of a sudden a free agent comes out of the tunnel to announce he has signed a contract. #LUFC”
Others were not so impressed by the response, which harks back to transfer links and other funny moments in years gone by, with fans not enjoying the negativity ahead of 2.45.
It could be one of a number of things, with it perhaps most likely to be an update on the Elland Road redevelopment or perhaps plans to pay tribute to a former legend in some way.

What is the Howard Wilkinson Leeds Initiative
Wilko92.com is the Howard Wilkinson Leeds Initiative, also known as the WILKO92 Legacy Project, and it is a fan-driven campaign to raise £140,000 to build a life-size statue of the legendary former Leeds manager Howard Wilkinson outside Elland Road.
In the eyes of many, there is perhaps no better place to launch a campaign for the Whites legend to be immortalised in bronze than at the Old Peacock Pub, which is a central hub of the fan community and just a stone’s throw away.
Even if Farke obtained the most points in one season that Leeds have ever managed, Wilkinson is the most popular manager in the club’s history after Don Revie. That is perhaps the best guess, but we shall soon see at 2.45 this afternoon.
Even if it is not that, it is desperately needed one way or another at Elland Road or Thorp Arch for Leeds.
