Leeds United thumped Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon. There were a number of really strong individual performances with Junior Firpo boasting one of them.
Junior Firpo returned to the Leeds United XI on Saturday, making an instant impact as Daniel Farke’s side thumped a lacklustre Cardiff City.
Goals came from Brenden Aaronson, Manor Solomon, Dan James, Wilfried Gnonto, Mateo Joseph, and two for Joel Piroe. Firpo grabbed a hat-trick of assists.
The Whites remain top of the Championship table after a resounding win in West Yorkshire.

Leeds United fans say the same thing about Junior Firpo after Cardiff City win
Firpo made his first start for the club since his hamstring injury picked up in December. From the off, it was clear that Leeds looked much more of an attacking threat with Firpo down the flank, linking up well with Manor Solomon in the first half especially.
Fans described Firpo as a “lovely footballer” whilst one comment said the Firpo and Jayden Bogle full-back combination is the club’s best: “This is the full-back pairing we need to see as much as possible.”
And many Leeds fans think Firpo is the better option at left-back than Sam Byram. One fan said: “The difference of having Firpo instead of Byram at left back is night and day.”
Another added: “I love Byram but offensively we look so much better with Firpo.” With a similar comment also reading: “I like Byram. Nothing against him. I just love Firpo in this team.”
This Leeds fan said: “No offence to the Byram fans but we are so much better with Firpo in the side”

The latest on Junior Firpo’s Leeds United future
Firpo, 28, sees his contract expire at the end of the season, making his future currently very uncertain.
Throughout January there was rumours that he could leave. Most recently, Real Betis were linked with Firpo, but going into the last day of the window, it seems like he’s staying for now.
Farke has described Firpo as an important player and we saw his best qualities in the game against Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon.
It could spell a run of games in the XI for Firpo, and if he can impress then there could be a tough decision to make on his future.
