The Premier League fixtures have been announced with Leeds United back in England’s top flight and fans have had their say, ahead of what looks like a tricky winter period.
Leeds are back in the Premier League after a two-year hiatus following relegation at the end of 2022-23. Now, they can begin to look forward to a season in the top flight, which begins with Everton at home.
A great first game for Leeds fans, which will see Angus Kinnear return to Elland Road at the very first opportunity. The following three fixtures see Leeds go to Arsenal, host Newcastle and then face Wolves.
But it is clear that Leeds’ toughest period will come in the winter months towards the end of 2025. The month of November sees Leeds face Brighton and Forest away, host Aston Villa, and then go to Man City.
December is also pretty daunting, with Leeds taking on Liverpool twice in the space of just 24 days. Leeds also face Chelsea at home, Brentford away, FA Cup winners Palace at home and Sunderland away.
Leeds fans pick hardest month of the lot as PL fixtures announced
The start to the season looks pretty good for Leeds, even if they do face Arsenal and Newcastle in the first three games. But a run of Wolves, Bournemouth, Tottenham and Burnley is a chance to win early points.

February looks pretty gruesome with Forest at Elland Road, followed by trips to Chelsea and Villa before hosting Man City. But to face Liverpool twice, Chelsea, Palace and Brentford away in December is a worry.
Leeds fans have taken to social media after learning of the club’s fixtures, which were published at 9am on Wednesday morning. The majority are in agreement that December is going to be hard for Leeds.
Leeds fans reacted in their droves and one supporter highlighted facing Liverpool twice in one month before describing December as “awful”. Another fan replied to Leeds’ post saying “December is brutal”.
One fan thinks Leeds have a decent start and run-in, but hopes Leeds aren’t “killed off by December”. Another said that it will be a “tough Christmas” for Leeds fans, with Sunderland away on the 27th.
Which month looks to be Leeds’ easiest ahead of PL return…
There is no doubting that December is going to be hugely difficult for Leeds, while November and even February won’t be much fun on paper. But Leeds do have a good start, and they have an excellent end.

September and October sees Leeds face Fulham, Wolves, Bournemouth, Tottenham, Burnley and West Ham. Daniel Farke will be eyeing that run to get him some points and prove why he has the Leeds job.
March sees Leeds take on Sunderland in Yorkshire, Palace at Selhurst Park and then a return to Elland Road to face Brentford. So, some easier bits but a really tough run from November to December.
