Leeds United duo were spotted moaning at each other during Bristol City draw but they’ve made up

Frustration was evident among Leeds United fans, players and the dugout on Saturday afternoon as the Whites failed to secure a third consecutive victory at Bristol City, drawing 0-0.

Leeds missed numerous golden chances. Dan James failing to convert after a gorgeous Wilfried Gnonto pass in the first half, before Gnonto had a shot cleared off the line with Max O’Leary nowhere to be seen.

Certainly, two points dropped rather than one point gained for Daniel Farke’s side. So much so that both Darren Bent and Danny Mills voiced their concerns over Leeds’ pursuit of Premier League promotion.

That frustration was visible on the pitch though, there were positives. Leeds managed to keep a seventh clean sheet in the Championship after 12 games, and continued their run of seven games without loss.

Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk relationship incredibly strong

The duo have started every single Championship games together so far, even with Rodon sitting on four yellow cards for the last couple of games. But on Saturday, the two were spotted moaning at each other.

The Yorkshire Evening Post said the duo went for the same ball in the first half and it saw Rodon and Struijk have a pop at each other. But immediately, the issue was resolved with a little hand slap.

If Leeds are going to do anything this season, then Farke has identified the need to build on a solid base and Rodon and Struijk have been tasked with providing that from defence, and they are doing it well.

Joe Rodon’s high demands keeping Leeds teammates on toes

Rodon is a player that is first choice for his country, has played in the Premier League and will know what it takes not only to get promoted but to play right at the top end of English football, what is needed.

Indeed, Struijk is not the only player to feel the wrath of Rodon’s high demands. Illan Meslier has been on the receiving end of Rodon’s demands already this term, due to the Frenchman’s passing from the back.

But it is a clear indication of the early relationship the duo have. Even in pre-season, Rodon said he was “delighted” to have Struijk back from injury and it is clear to see why, the duo are impressing together.
