Although Leeds United conceded a late equaliser against Bournemouth, they avoided defeat to extend their impressive run of form at home.
Daniel Farke has enjoyed an impressive start to life in the Premier League, overseeing a run of form which has seen Leeds collect eight points from their opening six games.
As things stand, Farke is five points ahead of where Leeds were in the 21/22 season when they narrowly avoided relegation on the final day under Jesse Marsch.
Leeds’ strong start to the season has been underpinned by their home form, having won one and drawn two games since their return to the top flight, as they prepare to face Tottenham in their next game.
The Sean Longstaff-inspired draw against Bournemouth extended an unbeaten run at Elland Road which now spans over a full calendar year, as Leeds near a record set by Don Revie’s legendary side.

Leeds United close in on Howard Wilkinson’s unbeaten home run
Leeds’ draw against Bournemouth means they are now unbeaten in 23 consecutive league games at Elland Road, in a run which includes 18 wins, five draws and 15 clean sheets.
The Whites last lost a home game against Burnley on the 14th September 2024, as they embarked on their hunt for promotion from the Championship last season.

- Played: 31
- Won: 20
- Drawn: 11
- Lost: 0
According to the data from 11v11, Leeds are now on their longest run without a home defeat since Howard Wilkinson was in charge of the club, when Leeds went unbeaten in 31 games, registering 20 wins in the process.
In that run, Leeds went unbeaten in the league at Elland Road between a victory over Aston Villa in May 1991 and a win over Arsenal in November 1992, eventually losing against Nottingham Forest at the beginning of December.

Daniel Farke is hunting down a record set by Don Revie
Although it seems unlikely at this stage, with 16 home games remaining this season, Farke has a slim chance of matching the record for the longest unbeaten home run in league games set by Revie’s side.
When Leeds beat QPR at home on the 14th August 1968, it fired the starting gun on a sequence of fixtures which would see Leeds remain unbeaten in the league at Elland Road until March of 1970.
Leeds’ unbeaten league run at Elland Road – August 1968 to March 1970:
- Played: 39
- Won: 32
- Drawn: 7
- Lost: 0
During that time, Leeds played 39 games at home, winning 32 of them and drawing just seven, although they were unable to clinch a league title during that period, finishing second in both the 1968/69 and 1969/70 seasons.
If Farke can remain unbeaten at home this season, Leeds will end the year on 39 consecutive home games unbeaten in the league, as Revie’s team did all that time ago. In which case, his side would have no fears about being relegated this season.
