Daniel Farke and Thomas Frank reunite for the sixth time on Saturday afternoon, but for the first time that neither Norwich City nor Brentford are involved, as Leeds United host Tottenham.

The two have shared plenty of battles in the Championship during promotion run-ins, with four of the five games they shared a touchline, coming in England’s second tier. Farke has won three times, drawing two.

On Saturday, the roles are reversed. Leeds will have home advantage, but Tottenham will be the favourites going into the clash. Even with an extensive injury list, including James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski.

Leeds remain unbeaten in the Premier League at Elland Road, and have gone 23 games without defeat in league games, stretching back to the start of the 2024-25 season. Farke then, is hoping to continue that.

Daniel Farke delivers verdict on Tottenham boss Thomas Frank

The Leeds manager spoke to reporters ahead of Saturday’s fixture, and he was asked about the battles he has had with Frank over the years. He was even asked if he felt he had the measure over the Spurs boss.

Farke said about Frank: “We’ve known each other a long time. Norwich and Brentford. We rate each other. I rate him so much, not just as a manager but as a human being. I have to give proper praise to him.

“The quality of the coach is defined by what you do over the mid and long-term. You have to show consistency, Thomas has done this. Unbelievable success at Brentford, positive start at Tottenham.

“Always good to see him. His teams are well-structured, well-managed, well-coached. I am looking forward to seeing him but we need to be prepared in order to be successful,” Farke added, on Frank.

Leeds’ injury round-up and likely predicted XI to face Tottenham

Farke also confirmed the state of his side going into Saturday’s clash, and confirmed Leeds could be without four players. Farke ruled Dan James, Willy Gnonto and Lucas Perri out of the Spurs clash.

James is missing until after the November break, Gnonto is still struggling with a calf issue but should be back after the break. Perri is in training, but the Spurs game comes too soon for the Brazilian stopper.

Then there is Harry Gray, who is struggling with a hip issue. It is believed Gray, who LeedsUnited.News understands has signed a new deal which will be announced next week, is only a doubt for Saturday.
