Leeds United star Tyler Adams is earning rave reviews for his performances in a United States shirt at the World Cup in Qatar after being made captain – and WhoScored report that he is joint-second in the entire tournament, for tackles.
Adams, 23, has been sensational. On Tuesday night, he was integral for his country once again. Completing his third 90 minutes in the space of a week, he helped USA hold on to beat Iran 1-0 and qualify for the last 16. They face Holland.

Little surprise, that Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport claim Inter Milan are considering a move to sign Adams ahead of January. Just a few months after Leeds paid £20million to sign the midfielder from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
The stats prove all of that, is correct. Adams sits joint second in terms of tackles for the entire competition, winning 10 of 11 attempted tackles. Joint second with Iran’s Milad Mohammadi, behind £65m Liverpool target Frenkie de Jong.

Everything about him is something to be loved. As Leeds fans, we need to cherish every moment he remains a Leeds player and with his contract lasting until June 2027, we can be hopeful that he remains. Inter Milan will be tempting.
