Leeds are well-equipped in attack, not just for the Championship but for a side that might end up in the Premier League and Daniel James is key to that – and his form will be giving Daniel Farke a headache.
James, 25, returned to Leeds in the summer. It comes after a tricky loan at Fulham in which he struggled to garner regular game time – starting just six of 23 games, either side of the winter World Cup in Qatar.
After a tricky loan, it might have seen James require a bit of time to get back to his best form. But his numbers suggest different. He has quickly adapted to life at Leeds – and continues to shine for Wales.
With Leeds, James has five goal involvements in his 10 outings – scoring against Bristol City in a 2-1 last weekend. He has taken his form to Wales duty, coming off the bench against Gibraltar on Wednesday.
He was introduced in the place of Ipswich winger Wes Burns, who has suffered a shoulder injury. The Welsh ran out 4-0 winners, James laying on two assists – taking his tally to seven goals and assists.

Six of which, have seen him turn provider. James is producing some of the best numbers of his life, his best season in terms of numbers coming in 2018-19, his last season at Swansea. He played 44 games.
In which, he scored six goals and laid on 10 assists for club and country. Already, he is almost half way. End product has always been a concern for the £25m signing from Manchester United. Not now.
With Leeds also boasting Jaidon Anthony, Ian Poveda, Cree Summerville and the returning Willy Gnonto, there is plenty of competition. But James’ form cannot be ignored. He has to start regularly, for Leeds.
