Bright Osayi-Samuel is shining in what is the best season of his career after helping Nigeria reach the African Cup of Nations final last month – while also starring for club side Fenerbahce in Turkey.
The 26-year-old has spent the last three years over in Turkish football with Fenerbahce – playing 126 times for the SuperLig outfit. He has been converted into a right-back, starting in England as a winger.
The Nigeria star played 194 times for QPR and Blackpool prior to his move to Turkey. But, he is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract at Fenerbahce – and clubs are becoming interested in a move.
It was claimed at the beginning of the January window that Leeds were considering a move, but nothing materialised and instead, Leeds signed Connor Roberts on loan from Burnley until the end the summer.
Now, a report from Turkish outlet NTV Spor states that Leeds remain interested in Osayi-Samuel – but face Premier League competition from both Wolves and Palace. It may depend on which league we’re in.

Failure to secure promotion and of course, a player of Osayi-Samuel’s pedigree will prefer a Premier League club or at least, stay put. Especially, with top-tier English clubs showing interest in a deal for him.
The form of Roberts could also depend on a move for Oasyi-Samuel, too. A player that is represented by the same agency as Joe Gelhardt, according to TransferMarkt. Roberts wants a permanent Leeds move.
If the Wales star does impress while on loan at Elland Road, then the chances of a permanent deal are significantly increased and the need for Osayi-Samuel lessens. One to keep an eye on, this summer.
