Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk is unlikely to make the move to Club Brugge this summer.
That is according to journalist Tomas Taecke, who reports Brugge have made an approach to sign Struijk, but are unable to meet the asking price Leeds have set.
Reports emerged earlier today that Brugge had began talks with Struijk’s representatives over a potential permanent deal.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims that Brugge have made Struijk their priority signing before the end of the window as they look to replace Abakar Sylla, who has made the move to Strasbourg.
Voetbal International then backed up that report, however Taecke has poured cold water on Brugge’s pursuit in what is a boost to Leeds.

The Whites now have just three senior centre backs on their books with Max Wober set to follow both Robin Koch and Diego Llorente out of the exit door on loan.
Alongside Liam Cooper and Charlie Cresswell, Struijk is part of a threadbare set of options for Daniel Farke in central defence, who last night confirmed it is an area he would like to strengthen.
Struijk spoke earlier this week of his desire to stay at Elland Road this season, with the 23-year-old still having four years left to run on his current contract.
He undoubtedly has the potential to be one of the best central defenders in the Championship this season, particularly in Farke’s possession-based system.
In the friendly against Monaco last weekend, Struijk looked somewhere close to his best and Leeds will be hoping he can continue that form into the season.
