Leeds United have another 10 days until Sheffield United to recover some of the injured bodies that missed the recent 2-2 draw at Sunderland.
Leeds travelled to the Stadium of Light without several of their best players but still managed to produce a performance that took them within seconds of a win but for Illan Meslier’s mistake.
Though Daniel Farke will be frustrated at how many members of his squad are away on international duty, it is a reset that was probably needed for Leeds.
In the final week before the break, Leeds lost both Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev to long-term knee injuries.
Manor Solomon, Max Wober and Dan James have all missed at least the last four matches too, which has left Leeds’ bench extremely light on numbers.

Leeds star Manor Solomon at Thorp Arch for treatment on injury
Despite Israel naming him in the squad for their upcoming matches with France and Italy, Leeds have confirmed Solomon won’t be going anywhere.
Farke is hopeful of welcoming Solomon back for the next game against Sheffield United, having initially suggested there was a chance he’d be back for Sunderland.
There had been some confusion on social media regarding Solomon’s whereabouts this week but the Yorkshire Evening Post have provided more clarity on his situation.
The report states Solomon has actually been at Thorp Arch today to undergo treatment on his injury, squashing any lingering fears he had jetted off with Israel.
Hopefully Solomon is now at the end of his treatment plan when it comes to his hamstring problem so he can get a full week of training in ahead of the Blades.
Solomon and Dan James returns huge boost for Leeds
Solomon is not the only winger Farke is hoping to have back against Chris Wilder’s side, but James too.
James picked up a hamstring injury all the way back in August and had looked set for a return in the middle of last month until he suffered a recurrence of the problem.
However, with both now seemingly closing in on a return, that would be a huge boost for Farke ahead of facing the only unbeaten and best defensive side in the division.
Leeds have not really had anyone to bring off the bench when Largie Ramazani, Brenden Aaronson and Wilfried Gnonto have been tiring recently.
Having those two back would seriously change that, though, and once again give Leeds the best winger depth in the Championship.
