Leeds United are keen on a move for Bayern Munich goalkeeper Alexander Nubel.
That is according to Bild, who report both Leeds and Stuttgart are battling it out for Nubel with a decision on his future expected in the coming days.
As per the report, Leeds could have the upper hand in the race due to their desire to sign him on a permanent deal, with Stuttgart only wanting a loan.

Bayern are believed to favour a permanent transfer for Nubel, who also does not reportedly see himself staying at the Bundesliga champions beyond this summer.
Nubel spent the last two seasons on loan at AS Monaco, where he made 97 appearances across all competitions to help them secure third and sixth place finishes respectively.
Leeds eyeing move for Bayern’s Nubel
Leeds are very much in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer with Illan Meslier widely expected to depart, despite the lack of concrete offers so far.
Karl Darlow and Viktor Johansson are among the other names to have been linked, but if reports are to be believed, Nubel could well be the favourite option for that role.

At 26, Nubel is still relatively young for a goalkeeper but does boast a plethora of top-level experience with over 150 appearances across some of Europe’s top leagues and competitions.
Being able to prise Nubel to the Championship would represent a significant coup based on his career so far, but it certainly does not appear out of the question.
Leeds must start picking up the pace in this transfer window but Nubel would be an excellent start if they are to get it over the line.
