Leeds United are in advanced talks over a deal for Norwich City right-back Max Aarons.
That is according to Pink Un, who report Leeds are now in pole position to seal Aarons’ signature for a fee that could rise to £12 million including add-ons.
Aarons had heavily been linked with a move to Southampton this summer as they go in search of a replacement for Tino Livramento, who made the big money switch to Newcastle United earlier this week.
However, it is Leeds who appear to be closing in on his signature, with Daniel Farke keen on a reunion with his former defender, who he worked with for several seasons at Norwich.
The 23-year-old was always expected to leave the Canaries this summer with him entering the final year of his deal at Carrow Road.

Farke has made it clear that he would like to strengthen the full-back positions this summer, though it is a surprise to see it come at right-back.
Leeds already have Luke Ayling and Cody Drameh vying for that spot, whereas they are currently much weaker on the other flank.
However, his arrival certainly offers an element of intrigue as to why Drameh hasn’t been involved over the last couple of weeks, with Leeds insisting it was due to a hamstring inury.
Drameh, though, was not present at Elland Road for Leeds‘ Championship opener on Sunday, despite other injured players including Tyler Adams and Jack Harrison being in attendance.
Aarons has already proven himself to be one of the best right-backs in the division, and was even linked with £40m moves to Bayern Munich and Barcelona earlier in his career.
