Leeds United are going to have fight off competition from Arne Slot and Feyenoord if they hope to sign Nat Phillips from Liverpool this summer.
That is according to a report from The Athletic, which suggests that the Reds want around £10 million for the centre-back in the transfer window.
Nat Phillips is on Leeds’ radar as we begin our preparations for the new Championship season. As reported by The Athletic, Robin Koch and Diego Llorente are both set to leave on loan following relegation.

Of course, Leeds have become particularly synonymous with defensive frailty in recent months. So it is absolutely imperative that the Whites strengthen at the back.
Phillips has never quite been able to establish himself as a regular in the Liverpool side. But he has rarely let Jurgen Klopp’s men down whenever he has been involved.
In fact, Klopp has previously stated that Phillips is ‘unbelievable‘ in possession. Unfortunately, that may explain why a familiar name is now entering the running.
The Athletic reports that Feyenoord now want Phillips, which means Leeds are facing a battle with Arne Slot for his signature. Of course, the Dutchman was linked with taking the Leeds job after Jesse Marsch’s departure.
And in truth, the Whites have now got their work cut out. Feyenoord won the Eredivisie title last season. And they will be in the Champions League next year.
Leeds can potentially offer assurances over game-time. And he may feel that there is a clearer pathway to playing regularly in the Premier League by heading to Yorkshire.
But it certainly does Leeds no favours to be battling with Slot for the Liverpool man’s signature.
