BBC’s Don’t Go To Bed Just Yet podcast discussed, and joked about the reports linking Leeds man Rasmus Kristensen with a move to Roma – and Kristensen himself liked a clip of the post discussing links on social media.
Kristensen, 25, struggled at Leeds in his first season. Bought in a reunion with Jesse Marsch, the Dane was seen as a long-term replacement for Luke Ayling. But it was not long before Ayling was back in the side over Kristensen.
He managed just 30 outings for Leeds, starting only 25 times. With the club now relegated, Kristensen is likely to be one of a number of players set to go. Roma Today say he is to go on loan, with Roma boasting an option of £8.5m.
Presenter Jonny Buchan, Kaiser Chiefs guitarist Simon Rix and BBC Radio Leeds reporter Adam Pope combined on the latest episode of the DGTBJY podcast. They joked about Roma signing Kristensen, and why Roma wanted him.
“Kristensen and Llorente in a double swoop to Roma. Wow,” Buchan said. Rix replied: “Mourinho is interested in McKennie also, right. I don’t really understand what football he has been watching. Get these in, they’re great.”
Buchan added: “Well, we’ve seen Mourinho lose the plot recently a bit haven’t we, when he was kicking off at the end of the season. Maybe he’s losing his touch a little bit,” to which Rix replied: “Self sabotage”.

Kristensen will be aware that he has been the source of criticism throughout 2022-23. Many Leeds players have done. It looks as if he will be leaving the club, especially given he has liked a post that discusses a move to Roma.
It is a bit of a surprise that both Llorente and Kristensen will be turning out for a club the size of Roma next season after struggling in Yorkshire. But, it is unlikely both will start. Below, is a screenshot of Kristensen liking the club.
