Leeds United’s chances of keeping Wilfried Gnonto have been handed a potential boost with Everton having made a bid for Juventus’ Samuel Iling-Junior.
That is according to Il Bianconero, who report Everton, Fulham and West Ham have all submitted offers for the English teenager, though all have so far been knocked back.
It is said an offer of just over £17 million will be enough to tempt Juventus into selling Iling-Junior, who is among the players they consider ‘expendable’ this summer.

As such, if Everton were to meet the asking price of the Serie A giants, Iling-Junior would be allowed to move on, which could end their pursuit of Gnonto.
Iling-Junior made his breakthrough into Juventus’ first team squad last season following his arrival from Chelsea in 2020, scoring one goal and providing two assists in 18 matches.
Everton make Iling-Junior enquiry, could end Gnonto pursuit
Like Gnonto, Iling-Junior is very much a left-sided attacker and so if they were to sign him, there would be no need to continue pursuing the Leeds star.
Everton have already brought in Arnaut Danjuma on a season-long-loan this summer, but it is clear they are wanting to add another option to that side of the pitch.

Since Leeds’ relegation, Gnonto has persistently been linked with a move to Goodison Park, with some reports from Italy having indicated a deal was all but done.
That is not the case, though Everton are said to have seen an offer in the region of £15 million knocked back almost two weeks ago.
At £17 million, Iling-Junior could provide Everton with a cheaper alternative to Gnonto, boosting Leeds’ chances of keeping him.
